three bolted-together Eddystone aluminium boxes that lurked
hideously in the F-block technical cupboard cupboard managing
many years of faithful operation next to the emergency
'Technical Reserve' home-brew supplies. Also the little
transmitter boxes that lived for many years in attics and on
flat roofs in various states of operation. Many plus
points for the transistor emitter-follower based sallen-key
4.5kHz analogue filter section. Minus a few million for
using a '741 hop-amp on a limited supply as a clipper, but

but as ever, I do plan some crayon drawings of the depths.
There follows some letters which seems to outline a post-1978
update for the main studio, which looks like pretty much what
I found when I arrived. There's plenty of old names to
wonder at here.

Always handy in those days to know which transistor leg was
which without engaging on a trip down to the campus data book
